There are a lot of newly announced products that we can expect to see at AES that looks very good, like the new Fairlight Xynergy, all the new DAWs that have been announced and released this month and so on. But on this post I want to focus on what has NOT been announced yet that we might see.

New Duende plug-ins and/or hardware. This was hinted by an SSL employee. Some Duende purchasers fear that it is new hardware (and that they have wasted their money), I suspect that not being the case. With Duende being so new I expect it to be nothimg more than additional plug-ins. Which could be big announcements in their own rights!

New Drumkit From Hell. Actually this was JUST reported along the announcement that the old dfh is discontinued, but I started writing this post a couple of hours before it was. So call me clairvoyant. As direct competition we can also expect to see the new BFD, which FXpansion already have leaked pictures of.

Apogee monster. I think this walks hand in hand with the “Pro Tools killer” rumor. Some suspect that Apogee will present a high-end system that will be marketed with Logic to lure over studio users from the Pro Tools ball park. I’m not so sure, it’s not like the Symphony system is new. On the other hand, I’ve seen Symphony cards go for almost half the price here and there, which could mean something. And don’t forget about Duett! Not a rumor, but it will be there. It was first supposed to be released this month but have apparently been delayed to mid October.

IK Multimedia ARC. This will show. Information on what it was actually leaked out because of a press release error but most websites removed the information on it.
